“He does that by gaining control of the ball, touching both feet down and then, after the second foot is down, having the ball long enough to clearly become a runner, which is defined as the ability to ward off or protect himself from impending contact,” the N.F.L.
What about if you catch the pass on your knees then turn to lung towards the goal line?
Apparently not according to the ruling on the field during Patriots Vs Steelers game tonight. I mean I damn near threw up in my mouth watching my fantasy football tight end get his only touchdown reversed.
I don't think there's a person on planet earth that really understand these dang catch rules. So you can be running towards the goal with the ball break the plane and loose the ball but that's a touchdown because the player had previous possession.
A catch isn't complete until you make a football play or secure the ball through rolling around on the dang ground. CMON!!! MAN!!
All though after watching this play like ten times I do agree the ball moved costing me a touchdown, I mean costing them a touchdown.
My advice to the Steelers would be to use other players more.... Meaning anybody other than Brown and Bell and maybe they wouldn't have been struggling to be the Patriots. Or maybe do something about not being able to cover that giant man wearing number 87. I get it though everybody has trouble with that dude who's probably drinking a six pack in the locker room.
